Othello,
The Moor of Venice is one of Shakespeare’s most
passionate and
heartbreaking tragedies. A fast-paced tale of vengence, jealousy and
betrayal. The play is set in the decadent city of Venice and in Turkish
Cyprus. In the chaotic environment of a Muslim city under Christian
occupation, racism and cruel intrigue lead to the destruction of an
honest man and his innocent wife. This Keller Theatre performance will
star New York professional actor, Neil Shah.

What
happens when a nerdy skid row floral assistant finds an exotic,
extra-terrestrial plant with a peculiar appetite for human blood?
Murder, intrigue, glamour and fame! Little Shop of Horrors, written and
composed by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, playfully spoofs the popular
science fiction movies of the 1950s. Told through a series of
catchy early rock tunes, this musical explores the dangers of excess
and greed in a dark world where goodness struggles to prevail.
Supported
by
the Robert O. and Elizabeth Bentley Endowment for the Performing Arts.
